The tale

Kael of Ashford descended into the Tidebound Priory on floor 1 and slew 2 brinelings. Two traps on floor 1 went unseen, each inflicting 5 damage. On floor 2 he suffered 10 damage from an unseen trap, yet spotted a later one. The rune door remained sealed. He met two heavy blows from an anchorbearer and held both, then punished the openings. After defeating that anchorbearer, he met another heavy blow from the Cistern Keeper and held it without a counter. He brought the Cistern Keeper down and claimed the Crown of Slow Coral. On floor 3 a trap dealt 16 damage. An anchorbearer met Kael’s guard twice; he held both, answered one, and struck the creature down. A sudden cave-in slammed into him for 21 damage. Three more heavy blows followed: his guard broke on the first, but held and punished the next two. He felled the second anchorbearer. On floor 4 he defeated another anchorbearer, then endured two further 21-damage traps before a scroll of recall returned him after 31 minutes with 592 XP.
